Wherever there is machinery mist in an industrial environment, an efficient mist collector is usually required. A mist collector keeps people and machines safe from harmful mist floating in the air in the work area.
A mist collector usually works by drawing the polluted mist-laden air through an input opening. The mist-laden air then hits centrifugal fan blades in a process called impaction. Sub-micron particles gather until they collect and gradually grow to droplet size. When they are sufficiently large they are thrown by centrigual force against the inner wall of the casing.
The liquid oil drawn from the air is blown by high velocity air through a circumferential slot into a collection chamber. Meanwhile the clean air - now free of oil - is returned to the plant environment through the exhaust grill. The clean recycled oil drawn out of the air drains from the unit for reuse or disposal.
