CVN Business - Most consumers have become used to the way retail chain stores keep track of the type and number of products they have on hand at any time. They do it with barcodes and inventory control software running on a computer somewhere deep in the administration area of the business.
Barcode scanners are now even being wielded by shoppers checking themselves out of grocery stores.
